UK-based podcasting platform Podiant, has launched the trailer for season two of its Platform: The unfinished story of Podiant podcast (platform.podiant.co), which takes listeners on a frank and honest journey of the highs and lows involved in running the growing digital platform.
Hosted by Podiant founder Mark Steadman, Platform is a weekly podcast that tells the story of challenger brand Podiant - from its public beta in 2017 to its growth in 2020 and beyond. Listeners can hear the unvarnished truth of what it’s really like to run a high-growth digital business, and understand the resilience needed to survive the rapidly changing world of podcasting, where the uncertainty of takeovers and company collapses is a stark reality.
The first episode of season two launches on Friday 2nd October, and shares the inside scoop of the lead-up to ‘Podiant Week’ (w/c 28th September). The week is a five-day intensive programme of rollouts and announcements for the company - from the unveiling of exciting educational resources for podcasters, to the launch of a brand new Move-in functionality offering existing podcasters a hassle-free way to transition to Podiant’s services, or simply see how it compares to their current platform.
Mark also takes listeners on the journey of becoming a Gold Sponsor for International Podcast Day 2020 (30th September), an opportunity that gives the brand significant exposure to a global audience of creators. The sponsorship saw Podiant lead an hour-long live stream at the virtual international convention which celebrates the power of podcasts. Podiant swapped the traditional signature talk that would usually be given by sponsors to promote their own brand and services, for a format that celebrated independent podcasters from the UK, US and beyond.
The debut episode gives exposure of the mad dash to plan and meet immovable deadlines for Podiant Week, and offers insight into how Mark and the team delivered their intensive workload - with dry humour on how they survived on just a few hours’ sleep.
The rest of the episodes continue on from season one of Platform, offering a sneak preview into Podiant’s future plans, and highlights the inside story of both the learnings and successes for Podiant to date.
