Podcasters can seamlessly transfer their existing podcast to challenger brand Podiant from 1st October, with the launch of its brand new Move-in (https://podiant.co/movein) feature.

Podiant announced the news on International Podcast Day* (30-9), in response to data suggesting that seasoned podcasters expressed a desire to experiment with podcast creation platforms that were innovative. Podcasters were also dissatisfied with the lack of content ownership through their existing provider, and wanted long-term security that their provider wasn’t going to go bust - an issue that has been a thorn in the side for the industry.

Founded in 2016, Podiant focuses on serving, connecting, and empowering creators, by listening to its customers, innovating in the space and demystifying the technology. Podiant gives customers ownership over their content and its powerful theming engine lets hosts pick from a variety of templates, and customise fonts and colour schemes. Those who can code are able to use their knowledge to modify their sites further.

Podiant’s Move-in feature offers existing hosts a hassle-free way to transition to Podiant’s services, or easily see how it compares to their current platform. Simply enter the podcast name or Apple Podcast URL, and hosts will be able to import episodes from the old feed in a few easy steps. The majority of creators will also be able to seamlessly transfer their subscribers in an hour.

Podiant founder Mark Steadman says:“ Our goal is to be a trusted partner right from the get-go. We know that moving platforms can be difficult, so the easier we get existing creators up and running with minimal disruption, the more likely they are to stick with us.”

Mark continues:“ Our central ambition is to bring podcasters on-board and help them grow through our top-notch hosting platform. Our value proposition sees us help creators produce their shows and find ways to monetise. We also connect them with other podcasters they can collaborate with, either through our social tools or events.” The new functionality is projected to increase the number of podcasters who bring existing shows to Podiant by 50% in 12 months. Podiant estimates that this is likely to result in an increase of shows by 20%, as creators bring their back catalogue and launch new shows.
